Themed Neighborhoods

 

I recently came up with the idea that what if neighborhoods had themes. I believe it would be interesting to live in a 40s theme neighborhood but with all the amenities and modern appliances. I believe this could rebuild a sense of community as individuals of a similar enthusiastic group gather together. I also believe it could tear down current day social barriers, such as race and cultural barriers, and get people to be interested in learning more about their neighborhood’s time period. I personally would like to see an ipod-futuristic neighborhood or maybe an artist inspired neighborhood. Nevertheless, I question if such an idea could raise or lower the price of an area.
