Create

 

    I believe everyone in the United States should be motivated to create things. I believe people should be motivated to make art, music, businesses, and anything that peaks their interest. It seems in today’s society there isn’t enough creators. Could it be because there are more logical-analytical left-brain people in society? Could it be people rely on corporations to produce their entertainment? To me society feels very quiet or reserved from producing and sharing their own ideas and allowing their own creativity to flow out into the world. Most of the ideas I see done by people are mostly surrounded by culture. An example is looking at all the books that have to do with vampires, werewolves, and zombies. This is fine, however perhaps from time to time we should strive to make something out-of-the-box or something purely original. It’s okay if it’s too absurd, makes no sense, is seemingly indecent, has been done before, or is outrageous. It’s okay if nobody likes it. Perhaps if people think it would hurt their reputation, they should have a way to keep their true identity hidden. I would encourage the use of new ideas, because new ideas have the possibility to influence other ideas, culture, and even the future. In addition, I also want to recommend the possibility to create things in groups. Perhaps a good idea could be gathering with friends to have a creative-production day. This could be a day or three day event where you gather with others to come up with ideas and to create something. The event could start with a pitch to see who might be interested to join your own project. A project could be a business plan, an invention, a game, a recipe, a music piece, a video, an animation, a short story, or some sort of art or craft. After the production event people should present their ideas and the results of creating their ideas. I know an event like this could bring people closer together, provide with an opportunity for people to learn or to get to know more about each other more, or push ideas into reality to where a sense of personal or group achievement which makes everyone feel great. Perhaps the most important effort is that people are making things they can share and hopefully feel proud of. In the end, everyone can help feel motivated to create.
