My New Philosophy of 'Goodwill and Authenticity'.
For many decades, my philosophy of life has been my own version of Ethicalism which derived from a mix of Greek-Plato and Confucius roots. To sum up this philosophy, it is behaving in a manner that is good for society, produces the best outcomes, and is the mastery of own self. In the blog post 'My Ethics Terms and Phrase Diagram' which was published March 8, 2022, I describe each value regarding my philosophy. My philosophy has evolved since then. I will explain this more later.
The philosophy of the modern person in the West is commonly either nihilistic if they are mentally immature or some form of stoicism if they have developed leadership skills and maturity. Many individuals also have values that correspond to Judaic-Cristian values because of their beliefs, family-culture, social culture, and communities. It's my belief having a philosophy of the world is extremely important because it sets the values and limits you want to have for yourself, and the image others can see oneself as. A person without values, in my opinions, lacks direction, might have weak boundaries, low self-esteem, unreachable goals, are inconsistent, carry a strain their relationships, lack emotional intelligence, and could lack any fulfillment and meaning. Overall, they set a poor example for others, their families, and open themselves to negative habits, behaviors, and conditionings. Having a personal philosophy, beliefs, and values is important to have, especially if one is growing.
Now returning to my own philosophy of life. My philosophy of life has evolved greatly since 2014 when I embarked on the philosophical journey to learn more about life and understand its meanings. Where I once believed being a model of good for the world has now evolved as I aged and developed something new and unique to me. The greatest modern minds who inspired me to continue learning and evolving my views, behaviors, and beliefs was Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneux, and Leo Gura of Actualize.org. Their videos has guided me from being a western Confucian and student of Plato to the modern developed personality I am today with my own intellectual capabilities and unique philosophy of the world. I found this philosophy to be original and it has taken me my whole life to come to developing and realizing it. Therefore, with one step at a time, I will reveal this new philosophy to the world.
My new philosophy is something I call 'The Philosophy of Goodwill and Authenticity'. It is a new philosophy that prizes authenticity over any other behavioral, philosophical, and psychological narrative. It's a philosophy where a person develops themselves and stays true to themselves while standing up for what they really believe in even if it's controversial or goes against societies social norm. The term 'Goodwill' is the foundation of where I started my journey in my initial beliefs. It is the demonstration of all the values I had prior to this vision of philosophy where one learns everything about themselves, learns to understand themselves, and develops themselves into authentic personality, leadership role, and role model. It is the initial philosophy of being a helping part of society, doing good, and finding ways to improve the world. This leads to the next term in this new philosophy. The 'authenticity' term in this new philosophy is the greatest value of being true to oneself and defining one's own path in the world. It's defining their own version of interpretation, understanding, learning, and growth. Because authenticity is being true to oneself, it is possible a person can still grow and be angry, if this is authentic to being themselves, but with goodwill their behaviors should have a reflection of balance, restraint, and merit where despite one's behaviors, they should have emotional intelligence and always mean to do good for themselves and others. In addition, if a person has self-discovered or awakened themselves as a spicy individual indulging in spicy behaviors, this is also allowed as they are being honest and authentic to themselves. Being authentic leads to the path where a person can find meaning, purpose, and happiness. It leads to the path of self-discovery, realization, growth, and improvement. Ultimately, it leads to a person forming, defining, and molding themselves as a unique personality and identity. The term used in authenticity also encompasses a wide range of values attached to it. Values such as self-reflection, developing oneself, improving oneself as much as possible, becoming the best version of oneself authentically, and so much more to name a few as a person grows. A person defines their vision of themselves on behalf of what they authentically believe. They define themselves based on their reality to which they can plan for meaningful changes. Nevertheless, at the root of being authentic is oneself being at the core and making the best decisions possible. Making the best decisions and being authentic a is pivotal to living the best and happiest life possible. Life is short and living it authentically gives it meaning. When combining goodwill and authenticity, it builds a new foundation for a person to start and live life with a set of values which grows an individual to shape themselves into the authentic and optimized path of life and version of themselves where an individual becomes who they are meant to become. This is my philosophy of Goodwill and Authenticity. Live with meaning, live with purpose, be the vessel you are meant to be, live without regrets and negative influences, and live life to the fullest with the best decisions possible.
