Radicalism in the Middle East

The events happening in the Middle East and parts of Africa are truly terrifying and saddening. The possibility that it can spread throughout the world is even more so. It seems apparent that radicalism is in favor of its radical leaders to use ancient die or join warfare to achieve religious supremacy. I realized the recruitment or idocination of combatants are joined by those without substantial form of education or free mindedness. They only see the way of sharia and of their religious ideology. However, this does not mean that the Muslim faith is for radicalist ideologies, because the Muslim faith in itself is to promote peace and compassion. Nevertheless, I heard the faith starts peaceful but then leads to radicalism. I say the Muslim faith should be respected until there is a form of radicalism. Death and destruction will never bring peace. Nonetheless, I believe radicalism is the hijacking of the Muslim faith.
There’s the conspiracy that the world will eventually turn to Muslim or to radical Muslim order. If such an occasion were to become true, it seems the development of technology could come to an end. This could mean being subjected to new or untreated illnesses. Although in promotion of peace, or possible their idea of peace, also has the possibility to be a different age of religious feudalism as often seen in the Middle East today and its history. Those who are more religious could punish those who are less religious. There's also the idea that there could be internal racial conflicts, because maybe Muslims should look a certain way. It seems possible only sadness could come of such a society. Furthermore, I would like to state that I respect the Muslim faith as well as all religions. Nevertheless, if such a future were to exist, it would seem irreversible to the progress of human and scientific development.

I had a very controversial idea, for recently initiated and preexisting muslims in the muslim faith, to make a mandatory oath or promise to Allah for the promise and promotion of peace to those in their faith and those who are not in their faith. This serves the purpose to remove extreme ideologies from radical regimes. Another idea is to perhaps modernize Sharia law to fit with this promotion of peace and diplomacy. This would include remaking the law to use diplomatic and rational methods to solve for traditional barbaric-like punishments. Perhaps the best method to do this is through religious leaders, political figures, media (social engineering), or through public opinion (voting).
