What I Believe Happiness is

I live to be happy. This seems like a universal idea for pretty much everyone, but what is happiness? Happiness to me means many things. Below, I have written a list describing my belief of happiness.

Happiness is:
  1. Finding a sense of comfort and joy with oneself.
  2. Having the ability to do what one wants and be judgement free.
  3. Having the ability to be financially independent.
  4. Living comfortably and without stress.
  5. Being able to spend one’s life with the company of one’s family and relatives.
  6. Being able to reflect on delightful past experiences and reminisce times of nostalgia.
  7. Having the ability to be in the company of wonderful, pleasant, and uplifting friends.
  8. Having the ability to look upon one’s past efforts and witnessing the satisfaction of accomplishment.
  9. It’s waking up one morning and having the ability to do something new, exciting, adventurous or challenging.
  10. Maybe having the ability to share life with someone and waking up to a person that excites, energizes, and motivates one’s life.
  11. Having the feeling of being secure, safe and care free.
  12. It’s a relaxed, Zen-like state of mind where one’s conscious is fresh, young, and unclouded.
  13. It’s having the luxury of time on one’s side.
  14. It’s the ability to work on projects that one has a passion for.
  15. It’s the ability and capability to help others and make others happy.
  16. Happiness is having peace.
